Big Boats and Big Crowds!

As 10 days of the Route de Rhum Race Village draws to a close and the race gets underway we share a few videos of this weeks activity.

The Boats are the stars of the show and yesterday Neil Chapman and Sam Cassell from Boatshed got rare shoreside access to the two largest boats in the race.
"Only a few hours prior to departure we managed to get access to the big boat pontoon and saw both Spindrift 2 and Banc Populaire right up close, so close we could touch them" says Sam.

The boats have not been the only sizable features of the event, the crowds have been impressive too. Over the 10 day lead up to the race St Malo was expected to see nearly 2,000,000 visitors.
